Hump-day Hymn

Sister Act - Oh, Maria

I love love love this film! Singing nuns! What could be bad about that? The answer is nothing.

So enjoy this lovely song, and get goosebumps and tear up just like me when Sister Mary Roberts sings.

My Inspirations: Martha Stewart

Martha Stewart is a big inspiration for me. Now, I know what most people think of when it comes to Martha Stewart but to be honest I am not worried about that, I like to focus more on all the awesome things she does!

She's a smart woman, who cares for animals and runs a highly successful business! She has her own lines of homeware, crafting items, house paint and even houses themselves (and more!)! Plus her magazines Martha Stewart Living and Martha Stewart Weddings are both fantasic.

Her pets are the cutest!

Sharkey & Francesca

Here she is with her Chow Chow Ghengis Khan. He's so fluffy!
She also has several cats
And donkeys! Not to mention heaps of other animals on her farm

She inspires me to bake more and to cook delicious food, she inspires me to craft and to make my home as beautiful as it possibly can be. I really admire her and she is one of my biggest inspirations!

P.S Sometimes she has Snoop Dog on her show and that is amazing

Friday Fancies

Here are a few of my favourite things that I have found this week!

$18 CAD
$24.99 USD
This is amazeballs! So cute!
$29 USD
Holy moly...this is amazing. I am definitely getting one for winter!
Steering away from cat related items, these are Funko Pop Vinyl figures and they are just adorable. I purchased the Daryl figure from ebay (zeezeeandco) and the Rick one from Popcultcha.
Both of these were $15 AUD. I may or may not have also got a Princess Leia one from ebay...I will take some pictures and blog them when I receive them all!
Also from Popcultcha I ordered these Adventure Time headphones! Ah! Aren't they just the cutest?!
$39.99 AUD
A fashon favourite is this dress from Domino Dollhouse. It's already sold out! Totally bummed.
One beauty favourite this week is this 2 Second Nail Primer by Deborah Lippmann which I got online from BeautyBay. It doesn't appear to be in stock anymore, however it cost me  £8.93 which is roughly $14AUD. It's very good! I may do a little review next week!

That's it for all my favourite products, just a quick note for my favourite song of the week which is:
By Starlight by The Smashing Pumpkins.
I have been listening to this a lot this week!
Have a great day!

New Years Resolutions

Happy New Year!

I thought I would write a blog post about my New Years Resolutions, that way if they are out in the open and people can see them I will be more likely to achieve them...right?!

  1. Take care of myself
  2. Create things (cook, sew, draw, write, craft!)
  3. Learn to use my sewing machine!
  4. Do yoga at least twice a week
  5. Stay on top of my university work
  6. Get up earlier on weekends
  7. Be organised & tidy
  8. Get a new job
  9. Blog frequently because it's fun!
  10. Try more new things
  11. Take more photos
  12. Watch more movies with Nathan
  13. Read more (possibly do the 50 books challenge)
  14. Work in the garden more & create a vegie patch
  15. Try to keep saving money
I don't think these are too difficult, so I am optimistic!
What are your resolutions?!
